Olympics: possible double assignment of 2030 and 2034 Games
THE Winter Olympic Games after the edition of Milan Cortina 2026 could be assigned to French Alps in 2030 it’s at Salt Lake City in 2034. The US location would return to host the Olympics after 32 years. The two candidates presented their dossier with offers to the Winter Olympic federations. The Evaluation Commission of the International Olympic Committee has already visited the venues and will send its report report to the IOC Executive which will meet from 12 to 14 June. The Executive in turn will decide whether to present both nominations for the 142nd session of the IOC to be held in Paris on 24 Julytwo days before the Olympic Games.
It is not excluded that, as had happened for Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028we can have one double assignment also for the Winter Games. Nello Utah the legacy of the 2002 edition is still very strong also because the race venues are reachable within an hour from the Olympic Village. The intention of the States is to organize the event in 2034 so as not to be too short of the LA2028 edition.
