12 metro stations are planned to be built in New Moscow in the coming years. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of the capital for urban policy and construction Andrey Bochkarev.
“Before joining Moscow, there was no metro in the new territories. In 10 years, we have built eight stations, thanks to which the transport accessibility of the districts has improved markedly. We continue this work – at present, six new stations are being built on the Troitskaya and Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya lines: Potapovo, Pykhtino, Tyutchevskaya, Mamyri, Bachurinskaya and Kommunarka, – Bochkarev’s words are quoted on portal mayor of the capital on July 2.
It is also noted that at the second stage of the construction of the Troitskaya metro line, six more stations are being designed: Sosenki, Rakitki, Desna, Kedrovaya, Vatutinki and Troitsk.
In mid-May, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that residents of the capital had chosen names for 15 new metro stations during a vote on the Active Citizen portal. Among the names that the townspeople liked were “Potapovo”, “Kedrovaya”, “Vatutinki”, “Kuryanovo”, “Moskvorechye”, “Kavkazsky Boulevard”.
