Reportedly, one of the exclusive games for Nintendo Switch least appreciated ever, that is 1-2-Switchcould also receive a sequel on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
Like all Nintendo-branded consoles, Switch is also having great success thanks to its numerous exclusives. After five years of console life, the Switch catalog has been enriched with titles of the caliber of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and many others.
However, not all Nintendo Switch exclusives released by Nintendo have convinced critics and audiences. But despite the title in question has been overwhelmed by criticism, it seems that 1-2-Switch could get a sequel.
The indiscretion comes from the important Nintendo insider and leaker, or Zippo, which does not reveal much else except that this sequel is in the company’s plans. Furthermore, it would appear that the sequel to 1-2-Switch will be revealed this year only to be released again by 2022.
Developed by Nintendo, 1-2-Switch is a party game that was released alongside the launch of the Nintendo Switch on March 3, 2017. As the game title suggests, 1-2-Switch it was closely related to the hybrid nature of Switch and, in particular, its own Joy-Con controller.
However it was met with numerous criticisms and only earned a score of 58 on Metacritic, which is very low by the standards set by Nintendo. Despite this, the title has sold several million copies and, given this financial success, a sequel could really be in production.
That said, like any news linked to indiscretions not endorsed by official sources, we advise you to take what you have read so far. At the time of publication of this article, Nintendo has not commented in any way on this rumor and, as usually happens in these circumstances, it will hardly do so in the next few days.
