Speaking from aboard a train, Zelensky said: “We will not concede the south to anyone, we will take back everything that belongs to us, and the sea will be Ukraine and safe.”
He added: “We will certainly return everything that was destroyed to what it was … Russia does not have missiles to the extent that matches our people’s desire for life.”
Zelensky also condemned the Russian blockade of Ukraine’s ports, at a time when weeks of negotiations on establishing safe corridors for the exit of grain made little progress, with increasing urgency with the advent of the summer harvest.
“Our position is clear and does not change. As soon as we can guarantee security through international mediation, Ukraine will do everything in its power to confront the food crisis,” Zelensky said.
Zelensky met with regional leaders in Mykolaiv and Odessa and went with them to see buildings destroyed in Russian attacks that killed many civilians.
He also visited hospital workers and soldiers, and handed out prizes to dozens of people at each location.
