Zacatecas.- Dozens of residents of the communities of Cieneguitas de Fernández and Guadalupe Victoria, in the municipality of Jerez, were escorted by the army to enter their houses looted by the delinquency and get what they can to escape the escalation of violence in that region of Zacatecas.

“Issues such as safety were discussed, issues such as the Fair were discussed, it was a very constructive dialogue. We have never seen Jerez so economically poor, we want all these actions to come to our Jerez since we have not had the famous Fair for two years “.
The migrant thanked what he described as such a “constructive visit” by Mayor Salazar Contreras “and more than anything that he had the opportunity and the courage to stand up and listen to the people of all those people who come.”
Another migrant from Zacatecas in California said that people have the need and the desire to return to their communities.
“I hope that the visit of the (municipal) president is productive, we need the municipality for everything and we hope that if they go ahead as he proposed to us, and support him and that he continues to support us.
