Konami, despite not making new games, has dedicated itself to creating collections of its series in recent years. We already saw this with Castlevania and Contra. Now, it was recently announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! will have the same treatment, since a package with classic titles from the franchise is already in development for the Switch and PC.
During the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY which took place in Japan to celebrate the property's 25th anniversary this weekend, Konami announced the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collectioncollection focused on the classic titles of the seriesand which will offer us the opportunity to enjoy games that were only available in Japan.
At the moment they have only been confirmed Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2, which came to the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance respectively. Unfortunately, at this time it is unknown what the other titles that will confirm this collection will be. Similarly, It is unknown when the pack will be available on Switch and PC.
Sad news, at least for fans in the West, is that at the moment only a digital version of is in development Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection in our region, although it is not ruled out that a physical edition will eventually be available. Likewise, it is expected that more games for this collection will be released in the future.
We remind you that the collection of Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection It is already in development for the Switch and PC. On related topics, streamer takes Yu-Gi-Oh! to the next level. Likewise, cards from this game sell for millions of pesos.
Editor's Note:
This would not have been my preferred collection to continue after what I saw with Contra and Castlevania, but I do not doubt that this news will please many. It will be interesting to see if the infamous PlayStation1 title is also part of this collection.
