All Russian gas to China. The signal of the East-West war
The agreement between Russia And China on gas goes far beyond a commercial partnership, it is the signal that the war between Orient And West has officially begun and that Ukraine it was perhaps only a claim to unleash it. In fact, while the bombing of the Russians continues on Kievwith a column of 60 km of tanks of the army of Putin now at the gates of the Ukrainian capital, here comes a historic agreement on the supply of gas between Russia and China. Gazprom has taken a new step towards the largest natural gas supply agreement with China, while nations around the world cut economic and political ties with Russia over the invasion of Ukraine. Gazprom – reports Bloomberg – has in fact signed a contract for designing the Soyuz Vostok pipeline which, through the Mongoliawill arrive in China.
“Today the design contract has been signed: this means that the project has moved on to phase Of practical implementation“. Thus the CEO of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, commenting on the signing of the contract for the design of the Soyuz Vostok pipeline. Gazprom in 2014 signed a 30-year, $ 400 billion deal to directly supply up to 38 billion cubic meters of gas per year to China through the Power of Siberia pipeline, through which deliveries began at the end of 2019. In recent months, when the flows of Gazprom towards Europe were limited, shipments to China were regularly above the daily contract volumes. Furthermore, at the beginning of February the Russia reached a smaller gas deal with China for direct supplies of 25 years of 10 billion cubic meters per year from the fields of the Far East.
