James Fulton will join Craig Breen for the last round of the WRC 2022 scheduled in Japan.
A few days ago the navigator Paul Nagle had announced that after the Rally of Spain next week he will stop hanging up his helmet, so the Irishman had to look for a new co-driver.
The choice fell on his 30-year-old compatriot, very experienced but never on a Rally1, so some tests were carried out precisely to introduce him to the Ford Puma and better share the notes with the M-Sport color bearer.
“I don’t have much to say other than that I’m delighted to have this opportunity, as getting into the first category of the WRC is something I’ve been aspiring to for a while, of course, like any co-driver,” said Fulton, who will debut in the Rally of Japan in mid-November.
“I worked with Craig for a while and did a couple of tests with Puma, so I’m looking forward to growing the relationship with him and the car, as well as with the team. get to work and do the best possible job “.

Adds Breen: “Paul and I have been talking for a while and I understand his thinking perfectly. He has been competing at the highest level for a long time and wants to spend more with his family. It will still be weird to race without him.”
“I have full confidence in James. He has a good experience; he participated in the last tests with us and will be in the car for Japan, which will allow him to gain experience for next season.”
“Paul will also join us in Japan to fix the last things and reassure James, who has already raced quite a lot in the last two years of WRC, but will find himself taking another leap forward. I’m sure he will be fine.”
“He has looked at a lot of onboards and what the PS are like, I already feel like I’ve had him by my side for some time.”
