Blizzard Entertainment has announced a series of content for World of Warcraft, both for the retail version of the game and for the Classic servers. Today, executive producer Holly Longdale shared a roadmap out to 2024, including the start of the Worldsoul saga announced at this year's BlizzCon. There will be three additional content updates for the current expansion, Dragonflight. Although the expansion will not continue the usual three-act structure, with a raid at the end of each chapter, we will still see the consequences of the story. There will also be updates to Dragonflight's current dungeons and open world content. For 2024, the World of Warcraft roadmap includes Season 4, patches 10.2.6 and 10.2.7, and pre-patch, beta, and launch information for The War Within expansion.
In the spring and summer of 2024, players will be able to test out the upcoming expansion The War Within. Blizzard has worked hard to make this expansion the beginning of a story that will develop across the next three expansions: The War Within, Midnight and The Last Titan. It is likely that the first contents of The War Within contain clues that will be confirmed later. Blizzard is also continuing to develop World of Warcraft Classic, which allows players to relive past eras of World of Warcraft. Cataclysm Classic is coming, but there will be new changes to traditional playstyles. Already present is the Hardcore Mode, where if the character dies, he is permanently eliminated. These updates will take place throughout the year, so we may see changes in dates and events. However, it seems that Blizzard is dedicated to providing constant updates to both versions of its popular MMO. While Cataclysm wasn't the most popular expansion, the new changes to Classic modes have helped revitalize player interest.
