Scottie Schefflerthe number one in the golf rankings, had a difficult time after being arrested by the metropolitan police of Louisvillewhen trying to enter the Valhalla Golf Clubheadquarters of PGA Championship of the week.
Initial reports warn that traffic outside the field was very congested, as a serious accident occurred when a bus ran over and killed a man around 5 am ET.
Jeff Darlington Espn journalist warned that Scheffler was trying to drive around the accident and a police officer ordered him to stop, but the golf star did not comply.
When the golfer stopped the car to enter the club, the police approached him.
“After about 20 to 30 seconds, Scheffler rolled down the window to talk to the officer and the officer grabbed him by the arm to pull him out of the vehicle,” the communicator said.
“The officer reached inside the vehicle to open the door, and once Scheffler was pulled out, he was pushed against the car and handcuffed,” Espn said.
He added: “Darlington was standing in the doorway when Scheffler was arrested. Darlington said Scheffler turned to him and asked, “Can you help?”
According to Darlington, an officer ordered him to back off. “You have to get out of the way,” the officer told Darlington.
“Right now he’s going to jail and there’s nothing you can do about it.” The network noted that the start of the second round of the tournament was delayed due to the accident.
