Won’t Splatoon 3 have Marina as Villain?

Yesterday Nintendo shared a first look at the new music in Splatoon 3, showing a new track from the popular duo Off The Hook, who were also the hosts of the second version of the title, also revealing their new design.

The return of Marina and Pearl for the third title of the saga indicates that Marina, in fact, may not be the Villain of Splatoon 3, contrary to the wishes of many fans of the game.

The first Splatoon had as presenters and stars of the game the Squid Sisters Callie and Marie, who took care of commenting on all the events going on in Inkopolis as well as participating, commenting and announcing many Splatfests.

During the last Splatfest of the first game called Callie vs Marie, Callie had lost the contest thus pushing her to become the villain during the story mode of Splatoon 2.

In the flow of the last event of this chapter, Chaos Vs Order, Marina represented chaos and Pearl the order, and was the first to win the Splatfest, thus giving the plot for the setting of the new chapter of the saga dedicated to the octopus sprays ink , where we find the world transformed into a desert. And it is precisely because of this that many fans were hoping for Marina as a new villain.

However, the release of this new Off the Hook track shows that the sisters are still united and that therefore probably, barring unexpected twists, Marina will not be the villain of Splatoon 3.
