Juarez City.- A woman was brought to trial by a control judge for allegedly using a 15-year-old teenager as a ‘pollero’ (human trafficker), the Prosecutor’s Office reported.
The investigations were carried out by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Assistance to Women Victims of Crime for Reasons of Gender and the Family in the Northern Zone through the Research Unit of the Crime of Human Trafficking.
These investigations indicate that in June 2024, the accused used a 15-year-old teenager to cross USA to people in mobility situations, in the vicinity of the Jerónimo–Santa Teresa international crossing.
