Between Monday and this Tuesday, Brazil registered 75 deaths caused by covid-19, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) released on December 21st. With the records, the country accumulates 617,948 lives lost to the disease.
The Conass survey, which compiles data from health departments in 26 states and the Federal District, also pointed to 3,621 new cases of covid-19 in 24 hours, with a total of 22,219,477 records since the beginning of the pandemic.
However, data from eight states (Bahia, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Roraima and Tocantins, in addition to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, record holders for deaths) were not computed due to technical problems in the Ministry of Health’s system.
The technical problem has lasted 11 days, since the Ministry of Health portal was invaded by a hacker.
