We are one month away from one of the strongest events of the year in the video game industry, that is the launch of Elden Ring: Shadow of The ErdtreeDLC of the successful game released in 2022 and that he won many awards in between. And with the release so close on consoles and PC, people have wondered if we will see more in the future, or if this content will be enough to bid a final farewell to this open-world Souls Like.
From the mouth of the creator of the franchise himself, interesting details have been given, mentioning that indeed, there will not be much more of this game for the future, thus ruling out updates that may be worthwhile, but in exchange, they would already be working on the sequel, which is more important. And among his comments, he adds that he is not so fond of DLC because they are not experiences that feel as good compared to the full game, so they do not want to abuse that in FromSoftware.

Elden Ring emphasizes exploration and adventure in a large open world. To provide such an experience, you need a huge stage and therefore, instead of dividing it into several parts it was better to make one that was larger. If the contents were sold separately, the freedom of exploration and the sense of adventure would be reduced.
This is the first and last DLC. We have no plans to add more content to Elden Ring.
However, as has already been mentioned on previous occasions, there is an open door to launch a sequel after a few good months, more so due to the fact that one of the game’s art books talks about unexplored lands but that sound very interesting. So the extra content won’t last, but it can serve as an entry ticket to whatever the development studio has in mind.
