Arcane, the successful animated series of League of Legends, closed its passage through Netflix this Saturday, November 20. With fans fascinated by the animation and the story that was told, more than one wonders if Riot Games will work a season 2.
The animated series by French production company Fortiche made its streaming debut on November 6 and just a few hours after being published, it achieved great reception from viewers worldwide. Proof of this was that it managed to position itself as one of the most viewed Netflix fictions in various countries.

With the ending aired, and as LOL fans digest the epic ending, let’s review that has been said so far of an Arcane season 2 and its possible release date on Netflix.
Will Arcane have season 2 on Netflix?
At the moment, Riot Games has not confirmed that its animated fiction will feature more chapters. Nevertheless, Riot Entertainment president Shauna Spenley commented in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that there is “more to come” for Arcane.
“I don’t think most of Hollywood realizes how massive League of Legends is. We have a great opportunity to build organic stories within this world, which are quietly constructed and become the intellectual property that defines a generation. It’s going to take a little time, but great things will come”Shauna Spenley told the LA Times.
Apparently, it is only a matter of time before Netflix, Riot games or Fortiche announce a continuation of Arcane, the same one that could arrive in 2022. Let’s bear in mind that League of Legends has a deep history and with countless characters, each one with his own backstory that could be explored in Arcane.
