Didn’t wear uniform and didn’t sing the hymn at the queen’s funeral: Harry and the details everyone noticed
King Charles he wasn’t the only one not to sing God Save the King at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. Also Harrygrandson of the sovereign, did not sing the hymn and many have wondered why.
Eyes saddened by the loss of dear grandmother, yet much loved Harry did not pay homage to her God Save the King and did not wear theuniform like the other male members of the royal family. Details not just and that certainly have not gone unnoticed.
It is thought that the second son of the new King remained silent because of thehostility with the royal family. Hostility that could even worsen after the new coronation.
The rumors of the last few days have spoken of one recent quarrel between King Charles III and Harry and Meghan, for the choice to deprive the couple of their royal titles.
The Duchess of Sussex was present in Westminster Abbey, dressed in mourning like the other women of the royal family, me all the time in aloofnot even taken up by the cameras.
King Charles III also remained silent as everyone sang the hymn God Save the King and the reason is so obvious that it shouldn’t be explained. Not even Queen Elizabeth could sing God Save the Queen. They are those to whom the passage is intended and certainly cannot (or could not as in the case of the deceased sovereign) sing it yourself!
The hymn was changed with the coronation of Elizabeth and the word “King” was replaced with “Queen”. But now that the new King is a manthe anthem is back to being God Save the King.
Harry wasn’t the only one the royal family treated differently. Also Andrew, the son of Queen Elizabeth, he did not wear the uniform to accompany the coffin like his brothers and sister Anna. Everyone is well informed of past episodes, which led the Queen to the decision to revoke the public treatment of “Royal Highness”To the Duke of York.
