North Korea on Friday (local time) accused Seoul of “provocation” near their common border, accusing the South Korean army of “inciting military tension”, according to state media.
A North Korean military spokesman said the South Korean military conducted “artillery fire for about 10 hours” near their common border on Thursday, the state-run KCNA news agency reported in a statement.
The Korean People’s Army (KPA) “took strong military countermeasures” in response to the “provocative action,” the note added.
The EPC “sends a stern warning to the South Korean military who are inciting military tension in the front area with reckless action,” the statement added.
