This Sunday June 2, 2024 It is an important day for the citizens of Mexico, because on this day they will celebrate federal and local elections in which they will vote for the new president of the Republic and the Senate, the federal Congress and local congresses will be renewed, as well as the mayoralties of various states.
In the case of Sinaloa, the municipal president elections in the 18 districts of the state, in addition to the two new municipalities: Eldorado and Juan José Ríos. The candidates who are elected will assume the Municipal Presidency for the period 2024-2027.

During the campaign period, each of the candidates for mayor of Guasave have presented their proposals to improve the quality of life of the people of Guasave and bring economic development to the community.
Profiles
Alba Virgen Montes Álvarez, candidate of the “Fuerza y Corazón por Sinaloa” coalition, assumed the position of Deputy of District 07 in the State Congress in 2019. During her period in this important position, she presented 9 joint initiatives focused on combating violence in its different modalities, from the vicarious to the digital. She also has a career in teaching and participated in 164 parliamentary groups.
Dámaris Osuna Zavala, standard bearer of the Labor Party (PT), she was a substitute federal deputy, served as a public official on two occasions and has a degree in Law. The candidate became legally responsible for the Municipal Human Rights Commission of the municipalities of Guasave, Angostura and Sinaloa from 2004 to 2020; Likewise, she was national executive director of Mexico-USA binational relations at the peace embassy (UN Women and Center For Peace Studies, Sri Lanka).
Noah Molina Ortiz, for the PVEM, served as councilor of the Guasave City Council on two occasions, he also became Secretary of the Presidency and Director of Expenditures. Without forgetting that he was a party leader.
Gregorio Hernandez Romero, candidate of the Citizen Movement party, stood out as a delegate of Inspection and Regulation of the Government of Sinaloa in the municipalities of Guasave and Sinaloa during 2020. In June 2023, he assumed the presidency of the MC Municipal Committee in the municipality. He also studied at the UAS Higher School of Accounting and Administration.
Cecilia Ramírez Montoya, Morena candidate, is a graduate of the UNAM Faculty of Medicine and practiced her profession in the community of Casa Blanca, where she worked to promote health among the population. She was also part of the government of Martín Ahumada Quintero for a brief period of time, in which she served as director of agriculture.
Celia Gastélum Valenzuela, Flag bearer of the Encuentro Solidario Party (PES), she is a social activist who collaborates with the Sinaloa State Prosecutor’s Office and Federal Courts as an interpreter for Yoreme-Mayo. In the recent past, she was a candidate for federal representative for the same party.
