This next June 2nd The 2024 elections will be held, where thousands of people will elect their rulers, municipal presidents, deputies, senators and President of the Republic.
In that sense, in the state of Sinaloa Municipal presidents, deputies, senators and president of Mexico will be elected. In Culiacán the next municipal president which the municipal government will administer for three years.
The candidates for mayor or mayors in Culiacán are: Lourdes Erika Sánchez Martínez by the “Fuerza y Corazón x Sinaloa” coalition (PRI-PAN-PRD-PAS); Juan de Dios Gámez Mendívil by Morena; Victoria Sanchez Pena for the PT; Sandra Guadalupe Martos Lara by Citizen Movement; Jesus Alfredo Tapia Jimenez by the Sinaloa Solidarity Meeting Party (PES) and Julio Cesar Osuna by the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM).
In The debate we took on the task of investigate the political profiles and main proposals of the candidates for the municipal presidency of Culiacán, through the information that they made known through the platform of the Electoral Institute of the State of Sinaloa (IEES). With the candidates who have not used the IEES platform, the information published on their social networks was taken.
*Lourdes Erika Sánchez Martínez (PRI-PAN-PRD-PAS)
Erika Sánchez has a degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Management and Public Policy. She is currently President of the 50 + 1 Sinaloa Women’s Collective, a free and safe space for activists, politicians, businesswomen and academics.
She has served as a Federal Representative of the 64th Legislature (2018-2021); General Secretary of the PRI Sinaloa (2016-2018), among other positions within the PRI; councilor of the Culiacán City Council (2005-2007).
Proposals:
-Resolve the supply and use of drinking water; to have quality water 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in Culiacán and in the 16 unions.
– Rescuing JAPAC with an efficient, austere, honest and transparent administration and without increasing drinking water rates.
-Zero potholes on paved or asphalt streets during the first year of Government.
-Implement a comprehensive policy for the protection and prevention of gender-based violence against women
*Juan de Dios Gámez Mendívil (Morena)
Juan de Dios Gámez has a degree in Architecture from the UAS and a Master’s degree in Prevention and Protection of Occupational Risks from the University of Alcalá.
Delegate of Federal Programs for Wellbeing in Sinaloa (2021-2022); Advisor to Senator Rubén Rocha Moya (2018-2021); Head of the Technical-Regulatory Department of the Directorate of Economic, Social and Cultural Benefits of the Stays for Child Welfare and Development of the ISSSTE (2013-2017), among others.
Proposals:
-Build a new Water Treatment Plant in San Lorenzo to supply more than 179 neighborhoods and more than 350 families in the south of Culiacán.
-Pave a thousand streets throughout the municipal administration.
-Build the First Transition House in Culiacán, and Sinaloa, so that women in situations of violence have a safe space
*Sandra Guadalupe Martos Lara (MC)
Sandra Martos has a Bachelor’s degree in Preschool Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences. Diplomas in Theology, Effectiveness in the management of Human Resources. She is currently a law student.
She has served as Attorney General of Culiacán (2018-2021) and State Coordinator of the Permanent Commission for State Surveillance and Control of Municipalities of the Government of Sinaloa (2020-2021).
Proposals:
-Socialization of projects with citizens
-Garbage Collection (Classification)
-Cleaning of parks and gardens
-Vial education
-Projects with and for women
-General Directorate of Youth
-Anthology projects for public works and urban development (ordered growth)
-Emphasis on early childhood
-Housing project
-Attention to receiverships
*Victoria Sánchez Peña (PT)
Victoria Sánchez has a Law Degree with a Master’s Degree in Oral Trial and Accusatory Criminal Procedure. She has been a member of the 63rd and 64th legislature of the Sinaloa Congress, president of the Housing Commission.
Proposals:
-Open door for citizens to express their problems
-Attention to disabled street vendors
-Early childhood
-Promote the gastronomy and tourism of the unions
-Bring sports and culture to the unions
*Julio César Osuna Chaidez (PVEM)
Julio Osuna has a degree in Business Administration. He has been Head of Delays, Director of Colony Attention and Director of the DIF in Culiacán.
Proposals:
-Mobility. Expand and make the extremities of Las Riberas park
-Security. Train police officers and have more elements
-Public services
-Free public transport cards for young people
*Jesús Alfredo Tapia Jiménez (PES)
Jesús Tapia Jiménez presides over the Colosista Civil Association of Sinaloa. He has been president of the Culiacán Boxing and Wrestling Commission (until 2019).
Proposals:
-Improve garbage collection, public lighting and drinking water
-Crime prevention
