According to the report, CNBC reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk is expected to become the world’s first trillionaire.
Musk is currently the richest person in the world with a fortune of $251 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Informa Connect Academy predicts that Musk will become a trillionaire in 2027, assuming his wealth continues to grow at an annual rate of 110 percent.
The second person the report expects to be a trillionaire in 2028 is Indian Gautam Adani, founder of the Adani Group, who will earn the title if he maintains his recent annual growth rate of 123 percent.
According to the report, Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, who has seen his fortune rise from $3 billion to more than $90 billion in five years, will become a trillionaire by 2028.
The fourth person on the list is Indonesian Prajogo Pangestu, founder of the Indonesian energy and mining group Barito Pacific, who the report expects to be named a trillionaire in 2028.
Coming in fifth is Bernard Arnault, CEO of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, who the report said will become a trillionaire sometime in 2030, along with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
The report stated that some of the biggest billionaires, such as Jeff Bezos, who has a fortune worth $200 billion according to Bloomberg, will not become a trillionaire until 2036.
Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin will also have to wait 12 years to become trillionaires, although the AI revolution could speed up their achievement of the title.
