Some heart patients suffer during the holy month of Ramadan from the impact of fasting on their health, and fears that they may be at risk, especially in light of warnings against fasting for this group.
And the Egyptian Ministry of Health has identified four cases in which it is not allowed for heart patients to fast so that their lives are not endangered during, the first of which is exposure to quarantine in intensive care during the last 6 months, and the second is changing the treatment of sugar or blood pressure more than once.
The caveats included not fasting in the event of an open-heart surgery, as well as installing a stent as a result of a heart attack, during the last six months.
The Ministry stressed the need to consult a doctor to find out the position of heart patients on fasting during the month of Ramadan; So that one of them is not exposed to unpleasant complications.
