WhatsApp for Android will feature audio sharing during video calls
The popular WhatsApp messenger will have a new feature that will allow users of Android devices to watch videos and listen to music together with their interlocutors while sharing the screen during video calls. About it reports portal WABetaInfo.
“When you share your screen, the audio you play on your device will also play on your partner’s device,” the portal said.
Experts emphasized that users will also be able to watch videos together. “This option allows participants to synchronize video playback and create a virtual movie viewing session,” the experts added.
According to WABetaInfo, the option to share audio during a video call is available to some beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp for Android beta updates from the Google Play Store. The feature will be available to a wider range of users in the coming weeks.
In December, it became known that WhatsApp will allow users of iOS devices to listen to music together during video calls when the screen sharing option is enabled.
