What will you play this weekend? The weekend has finally arrived, offering us a well-deserved break from study or work and therefore the opportunity to dedicate ourselves body and soul to our gaming passion and we are curious to know which games you will spend your free time with this weekend in January.
We’re approaching the summer period and as a result the pace of game releases is slowing down, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you have a backlog of titles to catch up on in the meantime. For example, in recent weeks version 1.0 of V Rising arrived, which saw a large number of players return to the vampire-themed action RPG, Animal Well, Billy Basso’s atypical but grandiose metroidvania (here’s our review) and Little Kitty, Big City, the adventure that puts us in the shoes of a cat available on Game Pass, ideal for spending the weekend carefree.
The latest releases
Marking the most recent releases, this week Braid – Anniversary Edition arrived on PC, console and via mobile devices via Netflix, a re-release of Jonathan Blow’s acclaimed 2D platformer, and the graphic adventure Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, which you can read about our review.
However, the most interesting release is represented by the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, the action by Sucker Punch and Sony originally published on PlayStation in 2020. This conversion was particularly awaited by players, as demonstrated by the excellent numbers recorded at launch on Steam.
So, what games will you spend the weekend with? One of the ones we mentioned or will you recover some titles from your backlog while waiting for new releases of interest to you? Let us know in the comments below.
