Exercise is important for mental health already as a child and young person. It is so important that the exercise hobbies of youth are reflected in mental well-being even in adulthood.

Mental well-being should be used to motivate even those young people who are not motivated by the pursuit of physical fitness to exercise, says THL's research manager Kaija Appelqvist-Schmidlechner.
