Viivi Silventoise and Heikki Knaap live a life together for several years.
The couple has a new family that includes their children together Ellen2, and five months ElmoDaughter of Silventoinen Saimi12, and the daughters of Knaap Erika7, and Aino9, living in a family every other weekend.
On Tuesday, Silventoinen’s mother will be a babysitter when the couple separates from the daily life of a new family in the center of Kuopio. First to the hotel, then get married.
Their wedding shift is at 10pm. The couple’s six friends and baby Elmo are present.
“We have learned by this age that life must be unique. Even in a wedding case, we have done what feels good about ourselves, ”says Silventoinen.
Viivi The love story of Silventoinen and Heikki Knaap began in September 2017 in Lappeenranta, where they both lived at the time.
Knaapi had resigned a year earlier. Silventoinen had lived with her two daughters for several years. The couple got to know each other on the Happy Pancake dating site.
“We met quickly, and then it was going,” Silventoinen says.
On the morning of the meeting day, Silventoinen had baked a bun. He invited Knaap to his first date at his home, although it didn’t feel good to meet an interesting-looking man for the first time as a “bun-scented Delay”. However, a friend said to the hesitant woman: but Viivi, you are.
“And it was worth being yourself. It is said that the path to a man’s heart goes through the abdomen. I guess I put a little love there in my bun dough. Heikki got in the way of it, ”says Silventoinen.
Heikki Knaapi says he likes a lot of fresh buns, but already at the first meeting he was impressed with his dating partner other than as a baker.
“Actually, as soon as Viivi opened the door for me for the first time, I was just beaten. I fell in love with that gentleness. Gentleness and dementia have always been number one in him, ”says Knaapi.
Silventoinen left the relationship more cautiously, as he had been accustomed to living in the economy of one adult for years. Pretty soon, however, Knaapi took his heart.
“I always felt safe with him. Whatever the situation, I didn’t have to think about what was going on. And so it is, ”says Viivi Silventoinen.
Of the year after socializing, the couple moved in together, and the new family began to learn about everyday life together. Silventois and Knaap felt good when there was another adult sharing a daily life.
“In our relationship, the debate has always been very important. If there are difficult things, they want to go through them so that they are not left burdened, ”says Knaapi.
The couple says they are different people: one is spontaneous and quick in their turns, the other thinks longer and plans things.
“We are similar in that we both want to believe in the good around us. We try to think things through the positive and think about how we can get things done, ”says Knaapi.
Silventoinen is happy that his spouse accepts him with all his weaknesses. There is room in the relationship for those bad moments that you are not proud of.
“It feels like year after year, day by day or dispute, we have more understanding of the other,” Silventoinen says.
“In family life, we are a really good team. It is something that could not be known before living a common daily life. I had seen Heikki as the father of his own children, but I couldn’t know what it would be like when we had children together. Every day I am full of gratitude for the way we do these things together. ”
In summer In 2020, the couple moved to Kuopio to study at Knaap. That fall, they got engaged. The engagement day was chosen on October 10, 2020. Even then, the couple knew they wanted to get married too.
However, the birth of a baby last autumn brought additional rounds to the daily life of the new family and did not even have time to think about the wedding.
“In the fall, everyday life with two small children was not roses. In the autumn, we still had to face each other big things that we have dealt with, ”says Silventoinen.
When the Kuopio parish association announced the Wedding Night event in January, it felt right to them.
“This is a holiday for our two adults. A few friends are coming along, but the most wonderful thing is that it has its own beloved chosen next door, ”says Silventoinen.

“The tough autumn united us. And that combined, however, that we both wanted to look ahead, ”says Knaapi.
“Today, when we tell each other I want to, I really want and want to be with Viivi. That will and desire has had to be weighed and thought through, but it feels like I want to. Indeed.”
