In Moscow and the Moscow region, most of the wedding events planned during the introduction of additional days off – from October 28 to November 7, have been canceled. About this on Saturday, October 23, writes RBK citing interviewed wedding planners.
It is noted that the newlyweds are forced to postpone the dates of the weddings in order not to lose the money already deposited. In case of cancellation of events, agencies are ready to return only ten percent of the paid amount. “We are always ready to return the agency commission, but this is ten percent of the amount spent by the client. Venue & Catering – This is where you can find the grounds for a refund. But restrictions do not affect the performance of the services of a photographer, ordering invitations, renting equipment and developing a script, ”said the WoodBind agency, noting that the most positive decision for everyone in this situation is to postpone the date of the celebration.
According to the interlocutor of the publication, the events have to be canceled due to the fact that restaurant owners cannot hold celebrations during the declared holidays, due to the imposition of restrictions. “If we talk about the forecast, the figures are approximately the following: 60 percent will be postponed, 20 percent canceled and another 20 will pass, since the restrictions will not affect them,” the agency explained.
A representative of another wedding agency, in a conversation with RBC, said that during the specified time period, none of their planned events will take place. They noted that for the events scheduled for these dates, the refund of the prepayment is not provided, since by this time 95 percent of the project is already in a state of readiness. The company representatives stressed that the organizers could incur losses in the amount of up to 40 percent of the monthly income.
Earlier, Moscow authorities reported an 80 percent increase in the incidence of COVID-19.
