The Heart of Racing has announced its lineup for the 2024 season of the FIA World Endurance Championship and, after last season's debut, the Canadian team will continue in the top endurance series with an Aston Martin entered in the newly created LMGT3 Class with the support of English house.
The Vantage GT3 Evo version #27 will once again see Ian James, Bronze driver and owner of the team already present in the list published in November, at the wheel, together with the confirmed Daniel Mancinelli and Alex Riberas, who arrived at the end of last year.
“We want to continue as we finished last season, that is Alex, Dani and I; I believe that together we make a good team”, commented Team Principal James, who will have to divide the tasks of leading the team and commitments on the track, including also that in the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
“We learned a lot last year in the WEC and we look forward to continuing to do so this season. With the introduction of the GT3 class, we are excited to see what we can achieve.”

Mancinelli, who joined the team from the Spa 2023 event, adds: “I am very happy and proud to return to the WEC with the Aston Martin Vantage in LMGT3. Last year I had a lot of fun with my friends Alex and Ian, our The bond, both in and out of the car, has been phenomenal and reflects the successful spirit of the team, which is more than just a team, it's a family.”
“This year we all already have some experience with all the procedures and race management, which will be even better. In the last race in Bahrain we achieved a podium, excellently concluding the GTE era and the debut of the team in the WEC. I'm very excited for the first race in Qatar in March.”
Riberas will also have IMSA races on his agenda (replaced by Mario Farnbacher when he can't be there, but in the meantime he shows enthusiasm for the WEC: “Competing in the WEC is a dream come true. I've always wanted to participate in the entire season of the WEC championship and this will be my first time, so it's an honor and a privilege to be a part of it.”
“I think that with Dani and Ian we form a dream crew. I can't wait for Qatar to arrive to see what the new class will be like. It's really difficult to understand and predict where we will be compared to the competition, but regardless this is a project phenomenal and truly exciting for this new adventure.”
