Team Duqueine has presented a revised livery for its Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH-Competizione which is preparing to debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship for the 2024 season.
A couple of weeks before the first commitment which will see the protagonists of the top endurance series take to the track in Lusail, first for the Prologue tests and then for the 1812 Km of Qatar, the Milanese company has shown the color of its Hypercar.
Compared to the official presentation of the Type 6, which took place at the end of February 2023 and what was seen in the development tests during the last year, it was decided to make the basic scheme adopted simpler and to keep the same colors.
In fact, the horizontal lines that ran along the side have disappeared and now the rear is entirely blue, with a vertical white stripe separating it from the red of the front part, where there is a further white section to highlight the nose.
Below the latter appears a wonderful Italian tricolor placed on the edge of the black splitter. The flag of the Bel Paese also remains around the mouth of the intake duct of the bonnet, which has now become black, connecting better with the fin and the rear wing.
For the upper part of the passenger compartment the choice fell on chrome silver to better reflect the sun's rays and not make the driving position get too hot, an idea that many have had, especially those who do not have an air conditioning system (like the Isotta, in fact) to save on car weight.
As mentioned, the Tipo 6 #11 built by Michelotto Engineering will be managed on the track by Team Duqueine and entrusted to the trio of Jean-Karl Vernay, Antonio Serravalle and Carl Wattana Bennett. The logo of the French team appears on the fin and above the front lights, while the Isotta Fraschini emblems take up space on the entire rear wing, halfway up the bodywork next to the door, above the windscreen and under the headlights.
