On Friday the snowstorm that has begun will continue on Sunday, but the new snow front coming from the west will bring with it a slightly milder storm. According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, snowfall is concentrated in the southern and central parts of the country, where snow is allowed a few cents during the day.
In south-eastern Finland, there may be more snow, and the accumulation of ten cents is possible in the area. In the southwest, snowfall, on the other hand, can quickly turn into rainfall.
“It’s mainly raining [sunnuntaina] as snow, but in the southwest the temperature goes above zero during the day. There may be drizzle, ”said the meteorologist on duty To Erik Saarika says.
Meteorological The department has issued a warning on Sunday about bad driving conditions in southern and central Finland. The warning is valid on the line from Central Ostrobothnia to North Karelia and in the provinces south of it.
All sea areas except the eastern Gulf of Finland have a strong wind warning on Sunday.
