New wave of bad weather in Italy. Three regions are most affected: civil protection issues a yellow alert for Abruzzo, Molise and Puglia.
The Civil Protection has issued a new one weather alert for tomorrow, Sunday 21 April, concerning Central Italy. As reported on the organisation's official website, a yellow alert is expected for storm risk and hydrogeological risk in some specific areas.
In particular, the Regions affected by the weather alert are Abruzzo, Molise and Puglia. For these areas, the Civil Protection has identified critical issues related to hydrogeological risk which require particular attention and vigilance on the part of the competent authorities.
The areas affected by the yellow alert are:
- Abruzzo: Tordino Vomano Basin, Pescara Basin, Upper Sangro Basin, Lower Sangro Basin
- Molise: Frentani – Sannio – Matese, Alto Volturno – Medio Sangro, Litoranea
- Puglia: Lower Ofanto, Lower Fortore, Gargano and Tremiti, Tavoliere – lower Candelaro basins, Cervaro and Carapelle, Sub-Dauno Apennines
Therefore, it is important that the population residing in these areas pays attention to the precautionary and safety measures recommended by the competent authorities.
As for the weather forecast for tomorrow, Sunday 21 April, according to the Air Force meteorological service, scattered precipitation and showers are expected in various regions of the country. In the North, rapidly increasing clouds will bring rain and showers from late morning, while in the Center and South the precipitation will be more scattered but persistent until mid-day.
Temperatures will undergo variations with decreasing minimums in some regions and decreasing maximums in others.
