The civil protection has issued a weather warning for three Italian regions: the April 25th bridge is at risk.
Once again, bad weather hits Italy, with rain and showers that will especially affect the central-northern regions on the Eastern side. After the sunny days of the last few days which deluded the Italian population with a summer prelude, the break of mild weather is over. The Civil Protection has issued a warning weather alert yellow for thunderstorms in some sectors, including Abruzzo, Emilia Romagna and Marche.
The regions affected by the yellow weather warning for thunderstorm risk are specified in detail: Abruzzo with the Tordino Vomano, Pescara and Sangro basins; Emilia Romagna with the Ferrara coast, Romagna coast, Bolognese plain, Romagna hills and plains, Bolognese mountains, Bolognese hills, high Romagna hills, Romagna mountains and Ferrara plains; Marche with Marc-5, Marc-6 and Marc-3.
The weather forecast for tomorrow, Thursday 18 April, indicates frequent thunderstorms, wind and snow in the Alps and Apennines up to an altitude of 1,000 metres, as well as a sharp drop in temperatures across the entire national territory. This instability is caused by the so-called cyclone Gori, which will remain on the Peninsula until at least April 25th, bringing with it decidedly colder weather compared to last weekend.
The bridge is therefore at risk near the national holiday of 25 April, a day in which millions of Italians go on classic trips out of town. The rain could alter the plans of many citizens. Summer is still far away although in the south many have already taken their first swim and many Italian beaches have received a boom in visitors. The weather situation therefore remains unstable and strongly influenced by cold and unstable currents coming from Scandinavia.
However, all of Italy is affected by adverse weather conditions and rain will be the protagonist of the next few hours. It is advisable to pay attention and caution, especially in the areas affected by the yellow weather alert, to avoid any inconvenience due to bad weather.
