The general secretary of the PSC-PSOE and parliamentary spokesperson, Pablo Zuloaga, has assured that “doing business with protected housing goes against the very constitutional spirit“. In this sense, the socialists will present this Monday, November 4, a Non-Law Proposition in the Parliament Plenary which starts at 10:30 am.
The objective of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, as stated in a press release, is “that public land does not fall into the hands of speculators and vulture funds as happened with the PP in the community of Madrid” and, therefore, ” This cannot happen again.” In his opinion, “Privatizing public assets always goes against citizens” And that is why – he continued – “we must protect public land so that protected housing does not pass into private hands.”
GENERAL INTEREST
The socialist parliamentary spokesperson has pointed out that “the public park always has to be public and for this we want the shielding of the ground to be guaranteed.” where public housing is built and that the land is at the service of the general interest”.
“The autonomous communities must invest in public housing policies, also in Cantabria, where the PP government seems to care very little about this right. In 16 months of government zero homes incorporated into the public park of housing”, he reiterated.
RIGHT
And, he has insisted, “Housing is not a business, it is a right”. For this reason, he continued, “in the face of the housing crisis that we are suffering this legislature, solutions and for that we must put measures and real commitment on the table, which is what the PP seems to be lacking.”
For this reason, Zuloaga concluded, “we ask for responsibility and high-mindedness from the groups with parliamentary representation and that they support an initiative that ensures a right such as decent housing, as well as the well-being of the Cantabrians“.
NO MANAGEMENT
The general secretary of the PSC-PSOE and parliamentary spokesperson, Pablo Zuloaga, has also denounced the “null or little execution in the 140A program of the European Funds (MRR) in the general directorates of Environment and Climate Change, Transport and Communications and Waters and Ports”.
In plenary, the Socialist Parliamentary Group will also address issues such as lack of work of the PP Government in the execution of the MRR Fundswe asked the president about the low level of real investment, we questioned the counselor about the Valdecilla Heliport and the Castro Urdiales Hospital and we addressed issues related to education such as the Study of the Bilingual Education Association, among others.
In this sense, Zuloaga has stated that “once again, the lack of management and work of the Buruaga Government in all areas is evident.” For Zuloaga, “they have left aside the essential issues in the development and advancement of Cantabria“, such as the 18% decrease compared to 2023 in the execution of Chapter 6, of real investments, or the scarce and non-existent execution of MRR funds in the different general directorates.”
OPPORTUNITIES
“They lose opportunities for Cantabria due to their inaction,” stated the socialist, “funds and injections from the Government of Pedro Sánchez come to nothing due to the lack of execution of the programs aimed at improving the lives of the Cantabrians.”
For this reason, he continued, “the socialists continue in the line of work of asking the Government of Buruaga for explanations, to explain their reasons for standing idly by in the face of the opportunities that both the European Union and the Government of Cantabria offer us. , to continue moving forward.”
