A fever for three days and then she dies of cardiac arrest: the story of Gloria Baccellini, 30 years old from Pontedera
There are stories that no one would want to tell or listen to. Like those that concern young lives cut short by reasons whose causes are not understood. A simple flu with banal and easily remedied symptoms can turn into a tragedy. Gloria Baccellini, a 30-year-old from Pontedera, died in Cisanello hospital after three days of high fever and a sudden illness that left her family speechless. The news of her passing shook the local community, which remembers her as a cheerful girl who loved sports and travelling.
As reported by The Tyrrhenian Sea, Gloria was visited by a doctor in the days before her death, but nothing made her imagine what would happen shortly after. After feeling ill, the young woman was taken to the emergency room in Pontedera, where she went to cardiac arrest due to lack of oxygen to vital organs.
She was subsequently urgently transferred to Cisanello hospital, where she underwent heart surgery. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Gloria did not make it and she lost her life. The young woman's family, deeply affected by the tragedy, has requested theautopsy on the body to understand the causes of death.
Gloria's father stated:
“We do it for us, to know what happened, there is little else to add, except that it is a great pain”.
The date of the funeral will be decided once all the arrangements have been completed investigations medical examiner. The young woman worked with her parents Patrizio and Rosamaria and her brother Silvio in a bar near the Lotti hospital and she had never suffered any significant health problems.
