Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Auroch Digital have announced the arrival of Forges of Corruptiona new and ferocious DLC for the boomer shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. It will be available starting June 18, 2024. So less than a month left to play it. It will initially launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, alongside a new edition of the game designed for new players. The Nintendo Switch version will also arrive later. Let’s see the presentation trailer:
In short, it’s time to go back to purify heretics with blows of bolter and chainsaw. Forges of Corruption promises to be even more brutal and furious than the base game, which is already quite lively, so to speak.
Paid and free content
“Explore new environments and stop the corruption of Chaos before it engulfs the entire world of Graia!” Reads the official announcement, which continues: “Eliminate new enemies: face the monstrous Helbrute, the heavy weapons-wielding Havoc and the ferocious Lightning Claws of the Terminator. Purify with new weapons: burn hordes of heretics with your Multi-Melta or blow them up with the missile launcher.”
Speaking of the new player edition, it will be called Forges of Corruption Edition and will include the base game and all DLC. It will therefore be the perfect way to get all the contents at a reduced price.
But it doesn’t end there, because gods are also on the way free content, which will also be published on June 18th. In particular, Horde Mode will be added, which will challenge us to defeat waves of enemies of increasing strength, for four difficulty levels. There will also be specific objectives related to the new content. The update will also introduce some interface improvements, as well as a system that will help players find their way around the labyrinthine levels. Of course, bugs and similar will also be fixed. In short, there are many new features arriving for this beloved game, in a particularly rich evening for Warhammer fans.
