There has been less talk about it for months now, but the war between Russia and Ukraine is going on as if nothing had happened. Mercedes-Benz so he decides to take the field once again: the Star car manufacturer has in fact announced that it will donate more 6 million euros for children and families in Ukraine by 2026, thus increasing its contribution which amounts from 2022 to today, between economic support and goods, to around 13 million euros.

“With this new donation of six million euros, we want to give a long-term contribution to alleviate the suffering caused by the war of aggression in Ukraine – commented Renata Jungo Brüngger, Member of the Management Board of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Integrity, Governance and Sustainability – 'SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit' is an experienced and well-rooted organization in the area which, in particular, helps children and their families through the 'Rebuilding Hope' project. 6 million euros
The association to which Mercedes-Benz turns and the initiative it has set up has been very useful to date for the Ukrainian population: in addition to the creation of a reception centre, medical assistance and the distribution of hygiene and food, the activity focused on psychological support for trauma, with the aim of alleviating the serious consequences of the war for children, young people and families in the regions around Bukha and Kiev. Numbers in hand, thanks also to the contribution of Mercedes-Benz, more than 2,300 families and over 3,800 children and teenagers were aided by the association.
