Di Giannantonio seeks confirmation after the excellent Austin
“There are years in which the customer motorbike is an advantage and others in which it is not. Unfortunately for Marquez this year the Ducati GP-24 is much more competitive than the GP-23″. This is how Jorge Lorenzo described the situation regarding the Desmosedici on the track in MotoGP, a situation which also 'affects' the VR46 team which with the Ducati in 2023 version he's not emerging the way he did a year ago. Fabio Di Giannantonio, however, finished in sixth place in Texas after the disappointment of the technical knockout in the Sprint. Bezzecchi, however, is still looking for a flash. In the team rankings, the VR46 team follows the Gresini team with a 5-point gap, 50 against 45. Below are their statements in view of the Jerez weekend.
“In general, in Austin, if we consider everything, we still managed to make some steps forward – he explained Marco Bezzecchi – it's not the position I would like, but the riding sensations improve with each outing and we can bring the group closer. Jerez is certainly one of the most complete tracks on the calendar: technical, but at the same time fast. It will be a busy weekend, the work done here and what we will do on Monday during the tests could be helpful for the next races“.
“I returned from Austin with very positive feelings, the same ones I'm taking with me to Jerez this week – he has declared Fabio Di Giannantonio – in America, we worked hard and managed to make up for a weekend that didn't seem to have started well. David, Claudio and all the technicians are doing well and the feeling is improving race after race, especially on the front end, an aspect we are focusing on a lot. I can't wait to get on track on Friday on one of the most beautiful, complete and historic tracks on the calendar
