Moving on to the interiors, the new Volkswagen Golf R should feature a new infotainment system, and should include both the reintroduction of physical buttons and the use of a series of high-end materials for a superior quality interior. Important news: the manual gearbox disappears, the new model will in fact only be available with a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox that transmits power to all four wheels. The updated version of the Volkswagen Golf R will be able to reach 100 km/h from rest in 4.6 seconds (the wagon variant will take 4.8 seconds). Furthermore, a Performance package will be available which increases the car’s top speed up to 270 km/h.
