Visions of Manathe next title in the Mana series from Square Enix, it will not have cooperative multiplayer. The information comes from the producer, Masaru Oyamada.
The original Secret of Mana was also appreciated for its cooperative function. Visions of Mana, however, will be Single player only due to the impact multiplayer would have on the design and pacing, as indicated by the manufacturer.
“When I played Secret of Mana, the cooperative multiplayer mode was something that really impressed me and left a strong impression,” said the producer Masaru Oyamada at PC Gamer. “So when we were pitching this game internally and discussing what it should be, we actually had that discussion about whether we should incorporate a feature like that.”
Oyamada continued: “As things developed internally, we discussed the various things you can do in a multiplayer mode, but also the challenges that a multiplayer mode introduces. The presence of multiple players could influence the design overall and also the pace of the gaming experience.”
Could multiplayer be coming in the future?
“However, when I think about the e I look to the futureI myself have fond memories of going on a unique adventure with my friends and solving problems together,” Oyamada said. “I know what that experience is like and I want to consider implementing features like that in the future”.
“As [una volta risolti] some technical problemspeople will also be able to experience this element of the Mana series.”
