According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, upon his arrival at the site, the King was received by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, and the commander of King Abdullah II’s Special Forces group.
The exercise, which included the implementation of reconnaissance skills by snipers and the handling of emergency targets, seeks to strengthen the concept of assigning border guards units by special forces.
The exercise also included the participation of a ground-breaking force, shooting from light and medium weapons and M/D weapons, and an air force of “Black Hawk” and “Little Bird” helicopters, to implement air interception operations on targets represented by mechanisms that deviated from the target area.
Petra stated that the participants in the exercise, which was attended by a number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, demonstrated high accuracy and skill in coordinating tasks and duties.
The King praised the efforts of coordinating joint operations and the high level of professionalism in hitting targets, expressing his pride in the distinguished level reached by the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army and the Royal Air Force.
