TOtlético Bucaramanga is in the final of the Colombian League for the first time since 1997. He had never done it in short tournaments, which began to be played in 2002.

Now, with the help of Venezuelan coach Rafael Dudamel, Bucaramanga will once again compete for a title and will try to break a spell. It is the only one of the 14 traditional teams that has never been able to get a star.
Dudamel, who already won as a coach with Deportivo Cali in the 2021-II League, was cautious regarding his team’s chances of winning the title, in the press conference after the 3-1 victory against Deportivo Pereira.
“We couldn’t afford to have the result in Bogotá and not us here. Today has been a great demonstration that we are an extraordinary team, when I refer to the team I am talking about players, coaching staff, leaders and most importantly, player number 12 who did not abandon us at any time, than when we lost in Barranquilla any other fan would have lowered his arms, but today they filled the stadium and trusted their team. “I never tire of saying thank you.” said.
Hours after the victory, an emotional video circulated on social networks in which they reveal the words of an excited Dudamel to his group of players after qualifying for the final.
”I have to tell you how proud we are of you. You have played like champions because we are already champions, we play like champions, always with integrity, with team conviction, with faith and character. Enjoy, h. .., they are going to be champions!”, Dudamel shouted at them.
