Video | Michael Jordan is still competitive: he beat the PGA Championship champion in golf!

Winner, in addition to two Olympic gold medals, in Los Angeles 1984 and Barcelona 1992 (the latter, as part of the historic United States Dream Team), Jordan was the NBA’s Most Valuable Player on six occasions and another six, in the finals.

Jordan has proven his talent in other sports. In 1994 he temporarily retired from basketball and managed to play one season in the minor leagues of American baseball, before making the decision to return to the Bulls.

Although he did not compete professionally, Jordan is also very fond of golf. He even organized a tournament after his final retirement from the Bulls and in 2018 he sponsored the construction of a field in Florida.

On the golf course, Jordan is as competitive as he is in basketball. “It wasn’t like when a normal player invites you to lunch. It was my rookie year and he gave me a couple of clubs. “I was trying to get closer to Golf to keep all my money,” declared his teammate Scottie Pippen, in the hit Netflix documentary The Last Dance.

Now, a great figure in world golf said that not only did he play against Jordan, but he lost with him. This is the recent champion of the PGA Championship, the American Xander Schauffele, who in that competition finally achieved his first Major after several attempts.

In a video revealed by CBS Sports this Monday, in the practice rounds for the US Open, the number 2 in the world ranking of golfers told, in an informal chat with former PGA Tour player Colt Knost, his feelings after being defeated by Jordan.

“He beat me straight, which is embarrassing. I started talking s… with him and he stayed quiet, focused… then he beat me: he made birdie on 15 and 16″, Schauffele said.

The stories in which Jordan responds to provocations and humiliates his rivals are told by dozens in the NBA. But now, Schauffele seems to be the star’s new victim.
