This Tuesday, at Democratic Republic of Congo, a bridge was being inaugurated that would join two areas inside the capital, Kinshasa. However, the attendees had a great scare, since, while the red tape was being cut, the structure collapsed.

The situation caused fear to those present, who, fortunately, escaped unharmed after the accident.

Local officials ready to celebrate, carrying a bottle of champagne, now lament the collapse of the bridge, while citizens are waiting for a reason for what happened.

A video published by a Spanish journalist shows the moment in which the structure collapses, while the assistants try to escape.

The unusual event occurred in Mont Ngafula, the southern area of Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This would not be the first time this has happened this year, in another part of the world, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, a suspension bridge completely collapsed. On that occasion, at least 25 people were injured when the structure gave way, at a height of three meters.
