Valheim: The Ashlands expansion is now available for everyone to try

Iron Gate finally opened the doors of Ashlandsthe new expansion of Valheimto all players on PC, allowing you to try this new and substantial addition to the game in an almost complete version, complete with gameplay trailer to show what's new.

With Ashlands comes a new explorable biomewhich corresponds precisely to the land that gives the expansion its title: after Mistlands, which arrived over a year ago, it is therefore time to expand the game world of Valheim with a new addition which is still in the testing phase but already represents an increase notable in content.

As reported by the developers, Ashlands is the more dangerous territory seen so far in the Nordic-set survival game, and the trailer seems to confirm it.

It is a hostile land, full of dangers and rather aggressive creatures, therefore dedicated above all to more expert players and those looking for a high-level challenge.

New gaming possibilities

In addition to risks and dangers, Ashlands also brings with it treasures and additional gameplay possibilities that enrich the Valheim experience, so this new area represents a valuable element for fans of the game.

Inside we find some elements exclusively linked to the area in question, such as ashwood, specific stones and elements that allow you to build objects, weapons and armor of new types and with new characteristics, furthermore the new gems for crafting can infuse the elements of blood, storm or nature into weapons.

In Ashlands there are new enemies and new game situations, but also new ones weaponsin particular those that can be used in sieges: the forces present in the area will find themselves defending themselves inside fortresses, so it will be necessary to use catapults and similar tools to try to break the imposing defenses.

In short, these are a lot of new features to practice with: Ashlands is currently available in the Valheim public test server, awaiting its launch in full form, which will arrive shortly, as the game heads towards its version 1.0.
