Senator states that Lula wants state-owned companies “full of positions for companions”; government shot down proposal to hire Elon Musk’s Starlink
The national president of PPthe senator Ciro Nogueira (PI), criticized this Sunday (May 26, 2024) the decision of the president’s government Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to create a kind of InternetBras to build an access system to the global satellite computer network.
In 2023, the government defeated a proposal to hire the Starlink, from businessman Elon Musk, which offers the same service. A Anatel and the government decided that the Telebras will connect schools in remote areas to the internet.

Businessman Elon Musk criticized the minister of STF (Federal Supreme Court) Alexandre de Moraes and President Lula. The decision by Anatel and the government may not be a consequence of this, but it can be interpreted as a response.
