CHICAGO (Reuters) – The US government left its forecast for domestic soybean stocks unchanged on Thursday, as demand from exporters and processors is expected to remain stable from the previous month’s forecast.
Soybean ending stocks for the 2021/22 marketing year were estimated at 340 million bushels, according to the USDA’s monthly supply and demand report.
Analysts had expected the report to show a soybean stockpile of 352 million bushels, based on average estimates provided in a Reuters poll.
For Brazil, the USDA maintained its 2021/22 soybean crop projections at 144 million tons, and at 118 million for corn.
Global ending stocks of soy were estimated at 102 million tons in 2021/22, compared to 104.13 million tons in the market forecast.
