The professional contracted doctor will be responsible for ensuring the proper execution of the medical procedures required by embassy employees, and their main functions include:
- Provide outpatient and emergency medical care services
- Offer emergency and occupational health services
- Perform direct medical evaluations, examinations and treatments on employees
- Determine cases that require hospitalization
- Evaluate employees’ medical ability to perform their job duties
Candidates interested in this vacancy must meet a series of important requirements:
- Medical degree awarded by an accredited institution
- 3 years of verifiable clinical experience
- Have completed an internship, residency, or graduate fellowship
- Training in primary care, preferably in family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine
- Knowledge in the use of basic laboratory equipment
- Current, valid and unrestricted medical license
- Fluent in English and Spanish
It is important to note that applicants must demonstrate competence in several basic and advanced medical proceduressuch as common office surgical procedures, primary care, intubation, intravenous insertion, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
