UNO Logisticsthe employers’ association of the logistics sector, awarded this Monday one of its 2024 Logistics Leaders Awards to Juan Diaz Riquelmeeditor of elEconomista.eswith which it recognizes the journalist’s work as a disseminator of a strategic sector for the Spanish and European economy.
The organization highlighted Díaz for his “rigorous informative work” carried out in elEconomista.esespecially in the Mobility and Transport magazineof which he is the editor and which every month includes the latest news in the sector. For this reason, he awarded him the prize in his capacity as ‘Leader’ of Logistics Communication 2024.
Together with Díaz, the work of Ikea España, Veepee, Puerto Bahía de Algeciras, Despensa Pisón and the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) has been recognized in an event held within the framework of the Logistics & Automation fair, in Ifema Madrid. Also the director of the DGT, Pere Navarrowas awarded ‘Logistics Professional of the Year’.
The event was inaugurated by Miguel Garrido, first vice president of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) and president of the Madrid Business Confederation (CEIM); and by the president of the logistics association, Francisco Aranda. The closing was carried out by the president of the CEOE Foundation and former Minister of Employment, Fatima Banez.
The president of UNO, Francisco ArandaDuring his speech, he congratulated the winners of this edition, and wanted to highlight “their effort and the magnificent work they do in favor of this exciting sector, which is already an essential lever of progress, an essential engine for the growth of employment and investment in our country, and one of the great pillars of competitiveness of the Spain Brand”.
