A scandal recently broke out over alleged match-fixing in the squad of the Magdalena Uniona team that decided not to continue counting on some players who could have been in the middle of the problem.
Unión is still in the game and looking to provide evidence to find those responsible for this big problem, which has Colombian football and that region concerned.
Kickback
Witnesses have pointed out Dáiver Vega, who would have been the one who would have spoken to some of his teammates to convince them to receive money in exchange for changing the result of some matches.
Unión Magdalena issued a statement in which it confirmed the unilateral termination of the contract with the player, who spoke for the first time about the fact.
Vega warns that he has not had the opportunity to defend himself and that therefore he is thinking about taking legal action with the purpose of “doing justice,” he indicates in the statement.
“They have tarnished my good name, directly affecting my integrity,” he said in the letter, which is summarized as follows.
