A heartbreaking fate and a fatality that unfortunately cost her her life, this is what happened to Monica Reginato. The 55-year-old woman, yesterday, Saturday 20 April, lost her life while she was trying to put on crampons, in front of the incredulous eyes of her friends.

Even today, no one can believe what happened to her. She was well known precisely for her great love for mountains and for skiing. In fact, that day she had decided to go out with her friends for one of their excursions.

According to information released by some local media, the drama occurred on the day of Saturday 19 April. Precisely on the Comici sul Sorapiss gully, which is located above Cortina. The woman actually lived in the municipality of Castelfranco Veneto, in Treviso. With three other friends, she had decided to make one of the most spectacular, but also most difficult crossings in the area.

She had equipped herself with everything she needed. She had brought her skis with her and also crampons, which are useful for her more delicate sections. However, just at the moment she was trying to put these shoes on your feetthat the unthinkable happened and something went wrong.

We still don't know exactly what could have happened, but the woman is, for reasons that are being examined by the police fell from the gullyfor a height of approximately 300 meters. The friends, who watched the whole scene helplessly, immediately asked for rescuers to intervene.

Everyone arrived on site within a few minutes. But when the paramedics reached Monica Reginato, they could do nothing to save her life. Because of that fall, her heart had now stopped beating and they had no choice but to observe her death.

Her sudden passing left pain and despair in the hearts of her loved ones, but also of all those who knew her. She was a great mountain enthusiast and that's why she had become CAI instructor of Castelfranco.
