Battalion commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Fedorenko proposed making all women liable for military service from the age of 18
The commander of the battalion of unmanned aerial systems “Achilles” of the 92nd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Yuriy Fedorenko, proposed making all women liable for military service, on an equal basis with men. He spoke about this on air YouTube-Army TV channel.
“I believe that all Ukrainians should be liable for military service, both men and women, from the age of 18,” the officer noted.
He also believes that it is necessary to lower the mobilization age to 23 years. By this moment, every Ukrainian should have a military specialty, the battalion commander said.
This is necessary so that in the event of a conflict, every person is prepared, can take up a weapon and understands the basics of military service, the serviceman explained. For example, how to apply a tourniquet when wounded, how to fight in twos and threes, how weapons work.
Earlier, Fedorenko said that in Ukraine there is a shortage of people to carry out a new wave of mobilization.
